We have been shortlisted for a CSI award!

The CSI Awards - organised by CSI Magazine – celebrate excellence and achievement in the broadcast, video, OTT and IoT sectors. Established in 2003 the awards are among the most prestigious and competitive technology awards in the industry, designed to recognise and reward innovation and excellence in broadcasting. This year PerceptionTV has been shortlisted in the ‘Best TV Everywhere/Multi-screen video’ category.

TV Everywhere refers to a business model where access to streaming content from a TV channel requires users to authenticate themselves as current subscribers, likely via an account provided by their participating pay television provider. Perception is a fully scalable white label multiscreen IPTV platform that can be customised and branded to any specification. If a cable TV provider is looking to introduce OTT programming, the Perception platform can be implemented in-line with company branding and messaging to maintain a unified experience. PerceptionTV recently added regionalisation and CDN edge server capability to the Perception platform. This enables operators to promote different content across regions and deliver an improved service experience without an additional CDN.

Perception comprises middleware and a video streaming platform that integrates the four key pillars of TV watching - live TV, catch-up, Video on Demand (VoD) and cloud-based PVR – all accessed via one intuitive user-interface. How does PerceptionTV encourage and accommodate multiscreen use? The platform enables engaging television services that can be viewed on any connected device, dedicated to replicating the living room TV experience wherever and whenever viewers choose to access content: on tablets; mobiles; and smart televisions.

The Perception platform delivers live TV channels and cloud-based catch up TV, with sub second latency so you do not even have to wait for content to buffer.

CSI Awards winners will be revealed at a Ceremony in Amsterdam on September 9th – wish us luck!
